The Fight of a Heart, by beccamarie Subscribe to rss feed for beccamarie

for while love waited
the girl grew fonder
infatuation held her tightly and fast
and with his arms around her
infatuation saw her eyes
within them he recognized the shine and sparkle that was for
love
still love waited as he watched her
she who holds infatuation in her arms
who holds love in her eyes
yet her heart aches with fear and indecision
fear of pain, of anguish
indecision of ease or challenge, of deceit or truth
love at war with infatuation
embodied in a girl
a girl
tattered and worn
of lusts lost long ago
leaving her tired and confused
let the true mind speak to guide her
for the heart is the true mind
and only the true mind may lead the way
