In Her Door, by beccamarie Subscribe to rss feed for beccamarie

what ever is a girl to do
when all she ever does
is think of you
and speak of you
and in her sleep
she'll dream of you
and the words you said
the ones of her dreams
were her biggest wish
until she saw you standing there
wrapped in the others arms
all she could do was watch and stare
as you kissed so softly
so sweetly
so pure
your intentions divine
the strongest love can endure
but alas the kiss
that one act of love
was all she needed to know
that your love for her
was momentary
on a whim you said it
you got what you wanted
and now what you have is a girl in your arms
her intentions unpure
and the girl who wants nothing more than you
lying broken in her door

Well done! I like the strong emotions and the way you expressed the feeling of the poem. So good!
