Watching you, trapped
I can't look away,
As you flow with the music
beauty i just can't convey.

Your silky locks bouncing,
Your smile never fades,
Your eyes twinkling and bright,
I sit patiently and wait.

You glide your way over,
And hold out your hands,
I take them, rise,
And get lost in our dance.

Our bodies entwined,
The warmth of yours pressed against mine,
We were one and nothing mattered,
Like someone'd put a pause on time.

Everything whirring by,
So surreal, so surreal,
Your breath tickling my neck,
This can't be real, this can't be real.

And as we leave the dance together,
With the excitement of something new,
Entering your room, not scared at all,
It feels so right, to be with you.

Dresses fall upon the floor,
Passionate kisses, locking the door,
Hands caressing bodies sending shivers up my spine,
Warming my heart to know you are mine.

We made love like real couples do,
Nothing else mattered, for I was with you,
What people would think, I couldn't care,
As long as I knew that you'd always be there.

Not leave me once the pressure got too much,
When we were parted I longed for your touch,
And yes there are sneers, and we get called names,
Others minds so small, it's really a shame,

They can't open up, to love modernised,
And homophobics - I can't help but despise,
Our love is as pure as yours or theirs,
And I'm getting real sick of the points and the stares,

But the fame's wearing off and they're letting us be,
They've finally accepted that you are with me,
And dancing again, our bodies entwined,
Warming my heart, to know you are mine.
