Hidden Face, by No Child Is Innocent Once Born Subscribe to rss feed for No Child Is Innocent Once Born

I stand behind a mask,
And watch as a kid plays
Grownups handle their daily task
While others stop and watch in dismay
Another sits quietly as she reads
Yet someone else comes to take the place
Knowing she is replaced because
Someone else wishes to take the lead
But no one must see her hidden face.
