Neglected On the Shelf, by Natalie Subscribe to rss feed for Natalie

Could you speak a little louder?
Your voice is fading away,
And mine is growing weaker,
Each and everyday.

Soon you’ll be a whisper,
Heard only in my mind.
Soon you’ll be a memory,
No longer can I find.

Then one day when I wake up,
And face the day with a yawn.
Like a dream I cannot remember,
Your face will be too far gone.

And sadly we are the ones to blame,
This deafness brought upon ourself.
Then stubbornness will keep it their,
Neglected on the shelf.
