Goodbye Beautiful, by bedazzled Subscribe to rss feed for bedazzled

Darling goodbye,
I don't know how to process this,
I didn't know how to stand there,
To talk to you,
To pat you while you were being injected,
But I did,
I watched you die,
I let you,
It was the right thing,
But still I feel like I killed you,
Like it's all my fault,
The tears were everywhere,
A thousand memories filled my head,
I love you,
I love you,
I love you,
I loved you so much,
More than anyone should love an animal,
An animal they know is going to die before them,
But I did,
So I kissed you and whispered "goodbye beautiful",
Then I walked away,
I don't know how I even could,
But I did,
It hurts so much right now,
Everything tumbles down at once,
Finally,
After so long,
I can cry,
I know you're in heaven sweetie,
But your fur is everywhere,
A reminder,
I don't know how I found anymore tears,
But I did,
Darling goodbye.
