No More Room, by Austin Hoehn Subscribe to rss feed for Austin Hoehn

let go of me you wicked thing,
let go of me and let me be,
you have held me back from my life,
you have stopped me from living,
you have stopped me from loving,
you have hung on to my heart and my dreams
for long enough I don’t need you any more
then you need me,
you have made me cry for weeks on end,
you have made me want to run and hide
and leave this wonderful world behind.
you have not only cast a shadow on me
once, but now you are making shadows on
 my loved ones,
you haven’t been so kind and loving,
but I guess that’s not what you were made
for, you were made to push on the strong
and tear down the weak,
and make millions weep.
for there is no love behind you,
there is no love around you,
so I guess that’s why you have no love in you,
so even though I may be weak at times,
but this is not one of them.
for I am going to push you harder
then even the powerfully strong.
I am going to push the wind
right out of where it belongs.
and hope that it lasts for long time,
for you are not going to push me or my loved ones,
your hands will tremble; your body will ach, for you my
unwanted and hated friend
there is no more room in my heart,
and no light from my soul left for you,
ungrateful
sorrow.
