Morning Darkness, by Matthew Grode Subscribe to rss feed for Matthew Grode

The impeding daylight collects my thoughts like an endless
book,
The morning sunlight is brighter than the darkest nights yet
to encounter,
As I walk the line down this lonely road,
My mind guickly travel to last nights misconceptions,
They come to me like a scatter plot with no direction,
In my mind they have no bearing,
For they are gone like the passing breeze,
So I let them go like my last few footsteps,
For I must walk forward with no reflection,
There is no time for one last repentance,
I walk on forward as they stay behind,
My soul isn't ready to push rewind,
The road is clear and I have no map,
And I'd forget the the way if I turned back,
So I walk on forward to the blinding light,
I must keep walking till I find the night
