Great Expectations, by AUSTIN Subscribe to rss feed for AUSTIN

What's crazy is
I expected you to hurt me
I expected to give you my heart
And you would desert me

I expected to fall for you
And to feel like it's real
I prayed that you would too
But that's just not real

I expect I'll push too hard
As I try to repair what we had
I expect you to hate me
Cause loving me is jut a fad

Everyone tries it
Once in a while
But no one goes the distance
Guess I'm really not worth their while

I expect you to not even realize
That this is all about you
You'll read this casually
And think, "Aww. How cute."

So don't be saddened
And don't be affected
Love, I'll be okay
Cause you're just what I expected
