Something You Should Say, by bedazzled Subscribe to rss feed for bedazzled

You sit down next to me,
My blood quickly simmers,
It's hard to stay serious,
And when we're joking I have to bite my lip,
Just to control my laughter,
I become dizzy, blushing,
Fighting to stay serious,
To calm my pounding heart,
But it's useless,
This effect you have on me can't be stopped,
I see you chewing on your pen,
To hold back the grin,
I've always known,
I have the same effect on you,
So why are we carrying on,
Neither of us saying a thing?
Standing in the same spot,
Never getting anywhere?
Don't say that you don't want it,
I can see it, boy I know it,
Are you scared of ruining,
This friendship - again?
Are you cautious of hurting,
Your healing heart - again?
I know that I am,
I'm truly terrified,
But it's killing me everytime you smile,
Standing here, standing here with you,
It's making me so sad baby,
Making me so sad,
I'll only scare you with words,
Yes, I've learnt from my mistakes,
You don't want to get hurt,
Well you'll hurt yourself by standing here,
Standing here with me,
When we hug it's electric,
Why don't you take a chance?
It's not my turn to move, not my turn to move,
I've got a headache from hurting this way,
Is there something you should say?
