Singing into dusty silence,
Particles spinning slowly,
A gently shuddering ache,
Pushes coldness through me,
 Lonely, confused, sad,
 Convinced of hearing other footsteps,
 Flinging open wardrobe doors,
 But no one's hiding,
 Just me from myself,
Paranoid that the tears will finish counting,
Tangled among pillows,
Limp on the couch,
Breathing shallowly,
Listening intently,
Unseen clocks tick,
Joining my heartbeat,
Creating the bass for my sighs,
 Barbed wire thoughts,
 Dig deeply into emotion,
A shaft of light blares weakly,
Passing my reflection,
I pause,
I can't hold eye contact,
Can't be truthful with that girl,
Pirouetting I whirl out of the room,
 97,
 98,
 99,
 100,
 And the tears catch up.
