Baby Boy Goodbye, by bedazzled Subscribe to rss feed for bedazzled

Baby boy, so sweet, so small,
We will hold you close, won't let you fall,
The anaesthetic nearly took you away,
But baby boy now you're okay,

So precious, so gorgeous, so full of joy,
Your smile fills our hearts darling baby boy,
We promise to make sure it won't happen again,
We surely couldn't survive any more such pain,

Baby boy we know you're afraid,
But this new operation can't be delayed,
That lump in your neck will continue to grow,
Once it's gone, it's gone, we promise you so,

We've checked with the doctors,
So many times now,
They know you're allergic,
They will avoid it somehow,
They've assured us often,
That it's under control,
They have it all planned,
Bless their dear souls,

Baby boy we miss you, had to say goodbye,
The doctors screwed up, baby boy you died,
'It wasn't on the chart' that's what they said,
And because of that error, baby boy you're dead,

We know they were wrong but we're too sad to try,
Too distraught, too caught in the tears that we cry,
There's so much blame to place everywhere,
But in this depression we've forgotten to care,

Baby boy, so sweet, so small,
An angel of five, heard heaven's call,
We broke our promise, sorry we lied,
We love you little darling, baby boy goodbye.
