YEAR'S END, by thndrhwk Subscribe to rss feed for thndrhwk

My paper's recycled,
My words are brand new,
This pencil is older
Like memories of you
But the crossroads are coming
As they've come before
And we're all leaving
Through different doors.
I try to speak,
But the tears keep on flowing
Searching for peace
As my world keeps on falling,
But if we can stand
Side by side once again
Then maybe I'll learn how to deal.

Have a great summer,
Have a good life
The past always fades
But we'll always be friends,
I'll never forget you
Remember me,
And I believe we'll be fine.

Can you remember
The places we've been,
The people we've been,
Oh, how we've changed.
And we'll keep on moving
Though often the same,
I just hope I'll see
What the changes have been.
And there's pictures inside of me
Jokes we've all shared,
I'll tell the story
And you'll give it color;
It's probably time
To say good bye
But I know I won't ever want
To let go and fly.

Have a great summer,
Have a good life
We have to go now
But we might meet again.
I'll never forget you,
Please remember me
And I believe we'll be fine.

Somehow we'll all be fine.
