Balance, by Lovesick and Sick of It Subscribe to rss feed for Lovesick and Sick of It

Good comes from evil
  Gain comes from loss
    Kindness comes from cruelty
      Courage comes from fear
And love can come from hate

All this I know
It’s always worked this way; it always will

But what about now, when
		Good and evil
 		Gain and loss
		Kindness and cruelty
		Courage and fear
                Love and hate

Are in the same proportions?

I’m stuck here, waiting
For one to emerge,
Then the other,
To keep the balance
So life can go on

The question is, which one’s on its way?
And will I be ready when it comes,
Or let it slip away
Like so many opportunities have?

I don’t know
I can’t know
Because that’s what life is
One big mystery
You can never know what’s coming next
For that would spoil the fun
