Stalling, by bedazzled Subscribe to rss feed for bedazzled

I never intend to make such a mess,
But with each silent second,
The hope gets less and less.
It's all fine, words won't decline,
The emotions you ignite.
You may be scarred but the light ain't barred,
You'll see that it's all right.

Don't, don't exaggerate,
You're too strong to bend underneath this weight.
Don't, don't you give in,
You're the one who gets to choose if misery wins.
Don't, don't search for the dark,
You know you can control the shade of your heart.

Do you remember why you are here?
Don't try and run if you can't see clear.
Do you remember why you feel this way?
There's reasons why the hurt isn't here to stay.

I never mean to accept that it's going wrong.
I won't lie, I won't deny,
I can keep it strong.
Without confirmation it has had a fall,
Don't look down, don't you frown,
For now it's best to stall.

Don't, don't be a pessimist,
Negativity crosses okay off the list.
Don't, don't be afraid,
Sometimes understanding is just delayed.
Don't, don't let it burn,
You can control the heat, it may be hard to learn.

When the clouds have cleared
               and being scared
                          seems stupid looking back,
That's when you'll know
               that you have to grow,
never surrender to the black.

Do you remember that look in his eyes?
Find the unspoken truth and you will realise.
Do you remember your defiance not to cry?
You'll remember why, you'll remember why...

(Honey it's just a matter of time).
