We Can't Fall, by bedazzled Subscribe to rss feed for bedazzled

I promised myself from the very start,
That I would strictly protect my heart,
Would stubbornly guard the key.
And now that your aqua eyes are calling,
I'm terrified that I might be falling,
I want no load so we can be free.

Because angel you already know,
You can't fall in love with me.
We decided to play it in slow,
To keep it light emotionally.
You and I both know,
Depth is not something to do,
Which is why I'm so worried...
I might be falling in love with you.

You brush the hair back from my face,
Elevate me to a warmer place,
Where the ice all melts away.
Your voice softens as we speak,
Drops my defences, leaves me weak,
Until I'm strongly tempted to stay.

Your arms don't hold me anymore, no they cradle me.
Your eyes don't just look anymore, there's something else
they see.
When you kiss me it's not only lust,
I find you searching for my trust.
You and I agreed not to fly but baby, where are we?

My angel you already know,
So don't be falling in love with me.
We have to be able to let go,
I can't give you a copy of my key.
'Cause we should know more,
About avoiding shades of blue,
Which is why I'm worried...
I might be falling in love with you.

(Are you worried too?)
