Now I'm Me, by bedazzled Subscribe to rss feed for bedazzled

Tease you gently, velvet air,
Until it's more than you can take,
Before you break and twist me in your arms.
I was dead, eyes of lead,
Until you found me with your charms.
After I hated you so much,
You awakened me with a touch,
Now here we are.

You took my halo and snapped it in two,
Showed me how freedom is supposed to be.
Turned my black wings white and spread them out wide,
Made me drop all the weight so that I could see.
Made me better inside, nothing to hide,
Now I'm me.

Steam the windows, taste your skin,
Take a breath and breathe me in,
'Til I'm all that's in your head.
We made this star, we've come so far,
To end up on your bed.
After every sleepless night,
Never dreamt you'd hold me tight,
Now here we are.

You kissed me and you changed me somehow,
You smoothed the hurt from each jagged memory.
This sepia world focused back into colour,
Every moment began to glow perfectly.
Made me smile at the rain, forget all the pain,
Now I'm me.
