Faded Memory
The moon is pale this April eve
And I'm so sorry you had to leave
We can never recapture what we once had
And I feel bad, so very bad

I try to remember your face so dear
But somehow it isn't very clear
I think I should, I try, I try
And then I give up with just a sigh

Did we have fun, you and I?
Did we laugh, did we cry
Your memory's faded like last summer's sun
All I can say is, "It's over and done"
