Don't Surrender, by bedazzled Subscribe to rss feed for bedazzled

Barren plains of rugged pain etch hurt upon his face.
I break inside, the cruel divide has left me in this place.
"Relationships bring complications," he says despondently.
Invading fears of shattered tears crash through the misery.

_I was already on my hands and knees_

Ragged ends make jealous friends throw each poisoned dart.
I drift away on sub-zero days upon my damaged heart.
"We can fight this situation," I contrast my expression.
Silent kills and growing chills signal my raw depression.

_Without your warmth I'd surely freeze_

You haven't gone (you said you won't),
But I already miss you.
In arms you protect me (from tears you don't),
Bullets still pierce through.
You calm my voice (I thought you couldn't),
But I don't know what to do.
You brought earthquakes (I thought you wouldn't),
And I already miss you.

_Don't surrender on me baby, please_
