Holding Onto The Past, by The Independent One. Subscribe to rss feed for The Independent One.

i'll never leave you, i don't know how.
you'll always be there, who am i kidding.
forgetting about this was a turn for the worst.
who cant forget, you changed me for the better.

holding on to the past, it's time to let go,
it's a 10 story jump down to my death,
too afraid to look back, too afraid to look forward.

i never cared so much, but that's far gone now.
the feelings keep screaming for my attention,
but i turn and run away.

running from the past; that's the best solution,
the voices i obey, they're good teachers.
i'm too far gone now, i lost the path to go back.

holding on to the past, it's time to let go,
it's a 10 story jump down to my death,
too afraid to look back, too afraid to look forward.
