Amongst this crowd I'm invisible.
In this sea of weary faces I'm only one.
How can I make a difference?
I lean against this wall for hours.
Thousands pass me by.
Yet not one stops.
Not one says "hello!"
I'm all alone in this crowd
I can see others like myself.
Yet they are so far away.
I reach with my mind.
I reach with my heart.
I am still alone.
My voice is drowned out by others as they pass.
I scream, no on hears.
Those that do, see me as a child looking for attention.
They ignore my pleads, my ideas, my questions.
I can only depend on myself;
for guidance, for answers, for love
