It's You, by bedazzled Subscribe to rss feed for bedazzled

Sometimes, sometimes I just can't stand me,
The perfectionism and insecurity,
It's a frustration I wish just wasn't there.
Sometimes, sometimes I wish I could change my head,
The way it works, repeating what's been said,
It's a consternation I wish that I could bear.

It's you, you that makes it all okay,
Always knows the words to say and exactly what to do.
And it's you, you that keeps me sane,
Keeps me from dwelling on the pain,
Shows me how to breathe again,
Baby it's you.

Sometimes, sometimes I want to run away,
To forget the games I cannot play,
My own expectations lead me to misery.
Sometimes, sometimes I hate myself when I can't sleep,
Because the discontent hurts and runs so deep,
I forget appreciation when faced with me.

It's you, you that keeps me standing here,
That helps me to see clear when my vision's blue.
And it's you, you that makes me alright,
Offers aid in every fight,
Shows me not to block the light,
Baby it's you.
