Statue, by bedazzled Subscribe to rss feed for bedazzled

Blue skies resonate a calming assurance,
But it’s not permeating my skin,
For you are there, but not there,
So very far away from me.
And although the sun is spreading warmth like golden
butter,
All over the smiling scene,
The laughter that bounces between blades of grass,
Doesn’t belong with us.

I can’t detect a changing breeze,
Can’t you see me begging please?

I listen to hope, smoothing over the creases,
Leaning into your warmth for lost comfort,
I love you too much, you know that I do,
To hear the screaming whispers.
Denial has a thin atmosphere, I'm feeling deprived,
But I trace my fingers across yours,
Kiss your forehead again, that of a statue,
Waiting for you to wake up.

I’m searching for reincarnation,
Do you feel my hesitation?
