Shattered Dreams, by Julia Subscribe to rss feed for Julia

There once was a little girl
Safely tucked away in her room
Daydreaming of her life to come
No cares No worries

Now the woman here today
Safely tucked away in her room
Daydreaming of her life as it once was
Too many cares Too many worries

The shattered dreams - scattered
all around me like broken glass
some just knicking the skin
others cutting to the bone

My shell is numb
Dare to dream no more
but to take that one last breath
and drift away
