Reality, by Anna Lorena Subscribe to rss feed for Anna Lorena

I prefer to escape to other worlds-
This one is far to boring.
Why would I stay in this 'reality'
When in fantasy I can do so much more?
I can fly upon draconic wings,
Sail on stormy seas with a buccaneer crew,
Become a knight- a lady knight- better than the men,
Explore the stars with a valliant crew,
Encountering all the beasts of my imagination,
Meeting all my imagined foes and friends,
And being my own little self through it all-
Living my dreams.
Living my dreams....
...what everyone longingly wishes for...
...what most of us never achieve....
Really, what fun is 'reality' when it
(or what 'they' call it)
Only hinders you, holds you back, pulls you down.
Where is the real in 'reality'
If the real is what kills you in the end?
What, for all intents and purposes, is 'reality'?
Is it relative? Is it universal?
And most importantly over all-
Can it be overcome?
