damn irony, by poison girl
|
i twist your ring on my finger.
it no longer feels smooth
but rough with dings and dents
i slide it off and on
to get some feeling back
but i pull too far
and the ring falls down to the floor
and through a hole
into the sewer
where it floats along
through the filth
and all that was once good
and along the way brushes against sandpaper
and wears the dings and dents
back to the smoothness it once had
