Friendship From Afar (Inspire by Holocaust Victims), by Destiny Subscribe to rss feed for Destiny

It started with the harsh voices that slammed down the
door
Their hardened to the world gaze turned our hopes into
fears
The rough beaten gloves tossed us into the truck
lifelessly
We were no longer human just an animal in their way
We entered a gate surrounded in wire
All I could smell is the burning of a blazing fire
From afar a young boy’s face could be seen
He stood there all life drained from his eyes
His clothes barely visible, frayed at the ends
We stared at each other our souls becoming attached
But our moment was interrupted by a beastly sounding roar
The smoke began to rise like a snake weaving up a tree
It filtered through the air covering the entire sky
I searched for the burning source
My eyes fixed upon one place
My heart stopped and my hands turn to ice
  How could that be ……?
I just hoped it would never be me…..
