Insidious, by amroth Subscribe to rss feed for amroth

A dark cloud passes over me as a cancer consumes my heart,
body, and soul.
Corrupting everything it touches.
Slowly eating, tearing, and ripping.
Pulling apart every aspect of my life.
Into pieces.

Scattering all of my sanity, decorum, and feelings.
Feelings of pain, torment, and pleasure.
The poison fills my veins as my blood goes cold.
Ripping at me…
The hands of death.
The hands of life.
Forever in turmoil.

The demon rears its ugly head and looks,
Into my white eyes.
Into my pale lifeless face.
I smile…

The jackal casts its judgment upon the damned.
Torturing the souls of the wasted.
Finally living, through the wails of agony of the forgotten
heroes.
Punished for the sins of those that fight.

Drifting away into a promise land,
Leaving to a utopia.
The wings are clipped as the clouds engulf.
The flame…
Still burns.
