Some days I stare in the mirror 
and all I see
Is an empty carcass looking back at me.
Far from the inspiration that once stood out
And shone to light the way for others.

I can't even remember when I disappeared
Why God grew tired of holding my hand?
I feel around in the darkness to try and take hold
But he isn't there, Nobody is there.

Alone, imprisoned in the walls of my mind
Driving me more insane by the day
Tears drowning me in my sleep
I'm too tired too swim against.

Nothing burns within me any more
I have no light of life
As I look at everyone outside 
Smiling, laughing and having good times.

Remember for every smile 
A tear will be shed
Somewhere in the world
But my tears wont stop 
As the world keeps smiling.
