Each Day as it Comes, by Lifesangel Subscribe to rss feed for Lifesangel

Take each day as it comes
That’s how I face life
No longer expecting
Looking back or regretting.

I walk without feeling
Barricading memories old and new
The only way I can protect you and I
From the Jonah that lies within.

Refusing to take the hands
That offer me guidance
For all I touch withers and dies
As though I absorb lifes water.

Unsure of my purpose
I forge ahead blind
Shan’t allow my eyes to cast shadows
Over what I assume is beauty outside.

The Moon is my only friend
She embraces me in arms of light
As I cry on her all of my secrets
And drift gently into slumber.
