The Weakest form of Surrender., by sharonrenee Subscribe to rss feed for sharonrenee

Fear
Our worst enemy
Stops us in our tracks
Keeps us from doing the things we could be doing
Fear leaves me in an in-between
I fear so much being alone
Growing old
In a rickety old house
Full of regret
That life could be so cruel to me
To have me alone in the end
Today here I sit
Watching the world go by
Afraid to make a move
Take a chance for love
Lost broken opportunities
Fearing rejection
Not willing to risk a broken heart
My greatest fears
Love and Loneliness
One is inevitable
While the other will fade away
Love is frightening
But is it not better than the alternative?
I must choose one or the other
I am afraid, so I will do nothing
Doing nothing
Best option I can think of for now
But nothing will soon lead me back to loneliness
Fear
My worst enemy,
Has chosen my path for me.
