The Swimming Hole, by TigreDeVour Subscribe to rss feed for TigreDeVour

Thank you for showing me a different way.
Thank you for keeping me warm as I lay.
Thank you for helping me get over my fear,
And thank you for always being here.

But time is now over and summer is gone.
School has now started, and it drones on.
You left my heart back at the swimming hole,
There's a spot in my chest now, as black as coal.

But don't worry, don't fret; you caused no real harm.
It was my fault I fell for your dastardly charm.
New opportunities have arisen to me,
Because, do remember, there are more fish in the sea.
