How Long?, by bedazzled Subscribe to rss feed for bedazzled

An oasis keeps shimmering
then disappears
everytime I step forward to see.
In this desert of heatwaves
I have no tears,
no one can see the knives inside of me.

Black roses, melted chocolate,
am I destined to suffer
for your kiss of cyanide?
Heartbeats sold, words untold,
walls echo, how long
can this be denied?

Your eyes are tortured
and your hands are warm,
with gentle stares you quiet each sigh.
Somehow, I'm always fracturing
everytime
I'm lost when I try to say goodbye.

//   How long, how long?
We just keep falling.
     How long, how long?
Darkness is calling.
     How long, how long?
We just keep crying.
     How long, how long?
We just keep dying. //

Black roses, melted chocolate,
am I destined to starve,
as you wrap me up in chains of lead?
Heartbeats sold, words untold,
walls echo, how long
until these pulses are dead?

('Cause baby, I'm sorry, but I've already bled.)
