I promise, by nicloetta

Your friends pressure you;
it's our prom, have some fun!
Drinking and driving, makes you look cool
Just go to the party, It will be fun
I promised my mom I would be back by two
She said if I drank not to drive,
I promised you mom no driving drunk
she said to be smart and call her for a ride.
I promised you mom I'd call for a ride
The party was at Jimmys and I decided not to drink.
an hour later i decided to leave
The party became bore, I still did not drink,
Drugs and alcohal, there not for me
I started to drive down that five mile road home
A light so bright, it blinded me
A big bang a loud crash
I lie breathless and think
I did not drink!
I did not drink and drive!
so why am I the one who will die?
This poem is to my cousin, to my best friend R.I.P we all
love you

this is a really good poem. i like the message it contains. No one should have to die because of a drunken driver. |

I agree, the message is good. I'm sorry that that had to happen. |
