A Dry Lake

I never thought
That I would miss something
That I wanted to get rid of for so long

I realized that it has been a long time
Since I felt droplets of salty water
Escaping my eyes
Landing on my pale cheeks

I used to be tormented by them
I wished that I could control them
I tried so hard to fight them
I wanted to stop them for good

I was teased for letting them escape
Each time I felt blue or vexed
They thought I was weak
But the fact is
They were a reason for making me strong

My tears are dry
I need to cry
To release all that pain
But I cannot anymore
I lost my power

Under a bright sun
Beneath a clear sky
During a joyful day
All I wish for is a moment with tears

But I turned into a dry lake
I'm a dry lake
