Wings, by . QUEENIE . Subscribe to rss feed for . QUEENIE .

my dead wings
flapping in the breeze
my dead eyes
staring out to a baren world.
my dead soul
flutters about
my dead wings
now lay on the ground.
i step upon them
with my dead legs
im dead on the inside
spreading to teh outside
i silently cry
blackened tears
from one dead eye.
in teh world of black
and ash
i pick up my dead wings
and throw them in teh trash.
my dead fingers curl
around the broken feathers
my dead arm drops
to my side.
i turn around
but there is nobody there
i stand alone
with my own dead stare.
i cannot go
from this place
the tears slide down
my dead face.
without my broken wings
i cannot soar.
my dead wings
were my freedom.
