Reminiscing the past,
Remembering the good old days.
Back to the day we met,
The day we crossed each others' paths.

The world seemed to encompass of just the two of us,
Caring naught for anything else.
Life then took a mysterious turn,
And we embraced life’s stunning beauty with brilliant
grace.

Love, sweet love filled the night air;
And everyday just seemed such a lovely day.
The birds sung a merry song,
a song of bliss in each other’s company.

But our fairy tale had to end,
Shattering all my hopes and dreams.
A heart piercing letter,
Life a wintery spring.

Stabbed by ninety-nine thorny spears,
Emotions a rollercoaster ride.
It hit me hard in the chest that
Things will never be the same again.

The birds sang a bleak, melancholic song,
Of the magic that was you and i both.
Sweet, beautiful memories remain but;
The ugly scar will always be retained.

The magic was gone.
It was history.
It was the past.
It was you and I both.
