Lament of the White Wren, by MorbidMaiden Subscribe to rss feed for MorbidMaiden

The flight of the White Wren,
Silver stars it's wing,
Sun glistening as a crown,
And of my heart a king.

Tears of rain fall upon my face,
Moon's soft rays slowing down the pace,
And I, standing here, waiting for the stars.
Velveteen grass waving sad goodbyes,
Darkening shadows, the Sun God's prize,
And I, standing here, hoping for the stars.
Queen of candy skies swirling pastel clouds,
Wind's sweet whispers, illuminating sounds,
And I, standing here, living for the stars.

The flight of the White Wren,
Skimming through the trees,
Flying past the Wasteland,
Into the Summer breeze.
And though I know I'm not alone,
That's how I feel right now,
With no-one here besides me,
Underneath the silver plough.

Everflowing river of everlasting dreams,
Calls of the blackbird, softening screams,
And I, standing there, waiting for the sun.
Awakening dawn, the blurred silken haze,
Ebony moles deep, burrowing the maze,
And I, standing there, hoping for the sun.
Morning dew of crystalline orbs,
Seer's gift of the future absorbs,
And I, standing there, living for the sun.

The flight of the White Wren,
Skimming through the trees,
Flying past the Wasteland,
Into the Summer breeze.
And though I know I'm not alone,
That's how I feel right now,
With no-one here besides me,
Even less the shadow now.

The flight of the White Wren,
Silver stars it's wing,
Sun glistening as a crown,
And of my heart a king.
