There I was

Walking down the path of faith

Not certain of where I was going

I saw many shortcuts on my way

But at first I did not turn toward them

Fearing they would lead me elsewhere

To a place hard to escape

 

I left this path, losing my faith

And made many mistakes upon leaving

Going down one of the many shortcuts;

As predicted, it led me elsewhere

To the place almost impossible to escape

That caused so much pain

And suffering


 

So here I am again,

On this path of Faith

Not certain of where I’m heading,

I know it will be a long, hard voyage,

But I also know that I will be safe,

In the hands of God.
