Goodbye little girl
With your jet black hair
And your velvet party dress

Farewell little girl
With your toothless smile
And your unfaltered happiness

I'll miss you little girl
With your manipulative charm
And your ability to play care free

I'll remember little girl
How you meant no harm
For a child must simply be

But take heed little girl
That this farewell's absolute
That you can't dictate my heart

I'm sorry little girl
But from now on you're mute
Else I'll continue to fall apart

I admire little girl
You're belief in love
And you're trust in those around

I respect little girl
Wishing on stars above
Whilst keeping both feet on the ground

But little girl I am sorry
I can't live if you do
I can't keep your childish dreams

For little girl I apologise
But there is no love thats true
And happiness frays at the seams

Little girl I am broken
And I need to stand alone
I need to be rid of all this pain

So farewell little girl
For I am now grown
And I shan't be a child again
