Grey Escapee, by Little Miss Meeks Subscribe to rss feed for Little Miss Meeks

Looks like a brand new day
But really nothing has changed
Things are fresh and bright
Soon things will become deranged

The dull will come creeping back
And the bright will fade to grey
Will I break the cycle?
I know not today

Grey is the colour
If you can see through the mirage
If I was going to fight this
I’d need a bloody barrage

I should have known better then this
It’s too late now
This is all that is left
I’ll take my vow

I do
This arranged marriage is for life
We’ll go hand in hand
Man and wife

I change my mind
Is there a divorce?
I can’t live like this
I don’t want to be forced

I can’t live a life of grey
This dull is getting to me
It needs to creep back and away
You’re the Jailer and I’m the escapee
