Ugly flowers, by Caitlin_Californication Subscribe to rss feed for Caitlin_Californication

I become more like a flower with no petals.
Outer beauty that the world tears off everyday.
I quickly become a raw and broken stem,
Cut, torn and ugly, just throw me away.

I am not fit to be set on your shelf for display,
Toss me in the garbage like leftover pizza crust.
Crushed under the filthy weight of words,
In my fragile state I slowly give up hope.

I start to rot and feel hot tears in the decay.
Defenseless from the beginning, I have no options left.
Stench leaks out of my wounds as I die from the inside out,
I still love you, till death do us part.
