My Secret Place, by Lunaria Subscribe to rss feed for Lunaria

There's a place I go when I want to hide
When I am sad and hurt inside
A place on earth that is all mine
A place that's dark cause the sun don't shine

There's water there though not much
There's snakes, lizards, beetles and such
I leave them alone and they don't bother me
If I sit real still I don't think they see

Evergreens there are and they are green
They're the tallest trees you've ever seen
There are bushes there. They're all dead wood
If I was stronger I'd pull them up if I could

I don't think a living soul has been here forever
And that's fine with me. I hope they don't ever
Cause I claim this desolate place as mine
No other would want it. To me it's divine.
