THE LITTLE GIRL, by Devika Subscribe to rss feed for Devika

I remember when i was young
I was so carefree and i hadn't been stung
I had not a single worry in this world
I didn't care what anyone thought, I did as i was told...

But i cant say i have nothing to hide
The real me is somewhere deep inside
only the closest to me know who i really am
while to the rest of the world i am just another gal

I've built a wall around myself
to protect me from the worlds nonsense
i don't let anyone in, Im scared to do so
I've been hurt so many times, its just that i trust no more

But i'm still a little girl in many ways
a girl who dreams of making it big someday
A girl with a clear conscience and lots of love to divide
I'm like an open book if people look inside

this little girl comes out once in a while
When she's at ease and there are no wolves outside
only a few have seen this little girl somehow
this little girl who is hidden inside of me till now...
