Farewell For Awhile, by Lunaria Subscribe to rss feed for Lunaria

My cat, Harmony, of 18 years was put to sleep.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The house feels so empty now that you're gone But you had to
go. It was time.
The moment came when I was sure it was time.
I stopped hoping you would get better when that moment
came.
You were with me longer than my last child.
Eighteen years and seven months.
That's a long time.
Squall has been waiting for you for a year and eight
months.
He is happy that you are home with him as are you.
I am happy for you too, but I miss your presence.
You went so peacefully and I know you were thankfull that I
helped you go.
We will be together again soon.
You, me and Squall.
So it's just "Farewell For Awhile".
