Trevor's Song, by Patty Bokern Subscribe to rss feed for Patty Bokern

Sandbox village where dinosaurs roam
A desert land the T-rex calls home

Lego-built towers that reach up so high
Home made kites soaring up in the sky

Orange bulldozers and cars that race
Ice cream sprinkles on a freckled face

Bikes and scooters and a band-aid knee
Building forts under the willow tree

Bedtime books then a bubble-scented hug
Covers pulled up as snug as a bug

He drifts off to sleep with eyes closed tight
Dreaming little boy dreams till dawn’s first light
