The Drunkard, by Julia Anne Subscribe to rss feed for Julia Anne

Mitchell was his name,

And sinning was his game.

He drank and drank all day long.

He would sing a discordant song.

He cussed and cursed at everything in sight.

He patronized prostitutes day and night.

His blond hair was shabby and uncombed.

One set of clothes was all he owned.

One eye was green and one was blue.

His stench was appalling but he hadn’t a clue.
