The Inventor, by Julia Anne Subscribe to rss feed for Julia Anne

His name is Leon,

And there is nothing he could not improve on.

Leon was a man of charm,

And always had a woman on his arm.

But when in his workshop no disturbances were tolerated.

For fear that his inventions might become tainted.

Eventually, he took a wife.

Then one day they had a fight,

And in spite

Of his warning,

She broke into his workshop hoping to find some of his
earnings.

But she triggered one of his devices

And had her skull crushed by the gears, but her husband was

indecisive.

He told the police she got what she deserved

For not listening to his warning.

None the less he was still morning

Over the loss of his dear wife.

But his rage made his morning less,

But still he had to confess

That no other woman could replace

His dear Isabel.
