I nestle into the curve
of the crescent.
You have left me here
on a slice of moon.
 I break
in the craters,
 I cry
in the dark.
How do I catch
these silver drops?
My illumination stolen
forever.
 You have walked away
 into the star trails because
 you. don't. want. me.
 anymore.
Two years of giving;
I remember the nectar
between your lips,
 a blue basket sky,
 neon dreams.
The words that fell
between us like sunshine,
the warmth that held us
 through the storm.
But then you launch me
    into space,
(it's what you want,
you tell me).
So curved in the shadows,
   I fracture,
  I fall,
 I wait for the
eclipse.
