Sunny Shadows, by Shine-On Subscribe to rss feed for Shine-On

The sun came up above the hills
Far east along a ridge
Dropped but once and grabbed again
like god had failed then passed the foliage

Clouds had spoken from one to the next
The sky lit up in red
Fading through the color scheme
Until day went to bed

The sun a struggle to reach past noon
Wen it lay straight up in air
Pushing, working for the top
Till it could glide down hill instead

This sunny day that seemed so nice
Yet headed down to night
Stopped just before its time
For the dark brings only fright

Working towards another day
With no night between
Just for sun to rise again
And make two days convene
